Jio sim slot lock is a hoax story !
Everyone want a Jio SIM to enjoy the Welcome Offer until December 31. Unlike the Preview Offer, Jio is not offering unlimited data usage this time. There is a 4GB usage limit per day, but in 30 days a user can use up to 120GB of data for FREE. An Airtel user will have to spend almost Rs. 7,600 to get that much data using the Mega Save Pack for Rs.1498 + Rs.51/GB. The welcome offer also give unlimited voice calls and access to Jio apps such as JioTV, JioCinema, JioBeats, etc. Unlike before, the speeds are low now, but most users are able to get stable 600KB/s speed for free. I used to get 4MBps speed last month, but now speed is less than 700KBps
There are rumors circulating around us about the Jio SIM that it can lock our phone’s SIM slot. If it it is a dual SIM phone, the SIM slot in which we put Jio will be locked and none of the other SIM card can’t work in that slot any more.
It is not true, Reliance Jio SIM will not lock your phone’s SIM slot, it is just like any other SIM.
There are complaints from users, after using Jio SIM for a while, other network SIMs are not working. This started the rumors about Jio locking SIM slots. Jio is a LTE based network, this SIM card will not work in 3G or 2G network. Maybe the user or shop salesman changed the network mode to LTE only, and the user is trying to insert a 2G/3G SIM from Airtel or Idea without changing the network mode.
You can go to Settings, Network mode to change the LTE only to auto or any other desired mode. This will most probably fix the issue. Reliance Jio SIM will no lock your SIM slot. Please share this post and let your friends know the fact.
